2014
June – Kick-Off CTI project
Kick-Off for the CTI research project “Transformative Rooms & Objects”. It will the base for flokk.
November – first prototype of flokk software
Presentation of the first working prototype of flokk. flokk is steering the CIRRUS 16.
2015
March – first flokk hardware
The initial batch of 200 pieces of flokk based hardware has been produced.
May – flokk in the museum
Opening of the exhibition “OLED – Light of the Future?” at the Gewerbemuseum Winterthur in Switzerland. flokk is used to stear the OLED light installations.
August – Design Prize Switzerland
The OLED research project, within flokk was developped, is nominated for the Design Prize Switzerland.
September – flokk at ineltec
flokk is presented at the ineltec from 8th – 11th of september.
2016
October – first flokk related project
Completion of the first project using the new flokk wall-mounted tiles. It is the first project that uses hardware developed for flokk.
2018
June – Kick-Off for building the flokk platform
After the first experiences with flokk, we now want to make it accessible for everyone. Our vision is to build a platform that enables light designer, architects and light enthusiasts to build interactive light installations without coding.
September – presentation of the flokk platform at Licht18
For the first time, the flokk platform is presented to the public. Three flokk kits, a KUMOLED lamp, a relax’box and a CIRRUS 9 are at the Licht2018 and allow anyone to try out flokk. The platform allows to create interactive light installations without coding.
November – flokk at MAB18 in Peking
The open flokk framework will be presented in a workshop in Peking. The participants will be able to explore the system by developing their first application.
