In the past month we worked intensively on different projects. One of them was in collaboration with a luminaire producer. In that project FLOKK listened to the sensors of desk lamps. The monitored luminaires can measure light intensity, usage, temperature, humidity, presence and air pressure. FLOKK visualized the live data on an analytics board (see picture) and logged it into a database. Among other things we could then analyze the occupancy of the desks and the air quality in different parts of the room. Based on this information we are able to build models that predict scenarios and enable actions within the setting. In our case this could mean that the measured occupancy of desks, lead to cleaning recommendation for the facility management visualized on a heatmap or certain levels of air quality preventively activate air conditioning, because air quality drops are predicted.
